This policy covers personal information handled in our retail relationship with you. It applies when you browse our store, place an order, contact us, or use an optional feature we make available.
Our privacy obligations depend on the circumstances and the Canadian privacy laws that apply to the activity. This policy does not reduce any rights you have under those laws.
External websites and services may handle information under their own privacy policies.
When you place an order, the information involved may include your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, delivery address, purchased items, transaction amount, and order history.
We use these details to administer the purchase, arrange payment and delivery, contact you about the order, and handle subsequent enquiries.
Please provide accurate delivery information. If you purchase an item for someone else, provide their information only when you are entitled to do so and only to the extent needed for the transaction.
Payments are handled through the payment services available at checkout.
Payment providers may process card details or other financial credentials to authorise and complete the transaction. The store receives payment-related information needed to manage orders, such as payment status, transaction references, and limited payment-method details.
Do not email us a full card number, card security code, banking password, or other payment authentication credential.
Your chosen payment provider may have its own privacy terms governing information it handles directly.
When you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message. This may include your contact details, order number, correspondence, and photographs relevant to a product issue.
We use this information to respond, investigate the matter, provide a resolution, and maintain a record of the interaction.
Only send information reasonably related to your enquiry. If additional information is necessary, we will explain what we need and why.
Operating an online store involves processing technical information such as an IP address, browser type, device characteristics, page requests, timestamps, and session identifiers.
Depending on the features you use and your privacy choices, information may also include cart activity, referring pages, and interactions with store functions.
Such information supports functions including page delivery, shopping-cart operation, security, troubleshooting, and, where appropriately enabled, understanding how the store is used.
Cookies and similar technologies can maintain your shopping session, remember cart contents, support checkout, and help protect the store.
Optional analytics, personalisation, or advertising technologies, if enabled, may involve additional information about browsing activity and interactions. Where consent is required, these technologies must operate according to your consent choices.
You can manage cookies through your browser and any privacy controls presented on the store. Blocking essential cookies may prevent certain features from working properly.
Where a feature enables identification, location tracking, or profiling and applicable law requires specific notice or activation by you, we will provide the required information and controls before that feature is used.
We handle personal information for purposes connected with the services you request, including:
We do not require consent to unrelated optional uses as a condition of completing a purchase.
When consent is required, we seek it in a manner appropriate to the information and the proposed use.
Information necessary to fulfil an order is handled for the purposes explained in the purchasing process and this policy. Optional uses may require a separate choice.
You may ask to withdraw consent by contacting us. We will explain any resulting limitation, such as an inability to deliver an order without a shipping address. Withdrawal does not prevent retention or use that the law requires or otherwise permits.
Continued browsing is not treated as blanket consent to every possible use of your information.
Our store uses Shopify’s commerce platform. Information associated with browsing, checkout, and orders may therefore be processed through Shopify and relevant service providers.
Shopify may process information on our behalf and, for certain services you use, for purposes described in its own privacy documentation. You can read more in Shopify’s Privacy Policy and use Shopify’s privacy portal for applicable requests relating to Shopify’s own processing.
Other recipients may include payment processors, delivery providers, customer-support service providers, and technical providers to the extent needed for their assigned functions.
Within the operation of the store, access is limited according to responsibilities such as order fulfilment, customer service, accounting, security, and privacy administration.
We may also disclose information when legally required, when necessary to establish or defend a legal claim, or in other circumstances permitted by applicable law.
If the business is involved in a proposed transfer or reorganisation, any related handling of customer information must follow applicable restrictions, safeguards, and notice requirements.
We do not authorise service providers to use information entrusted to them for unrelated purposes without an appropriate legal basis.
Shopify and other providers may process information outside your province, territory, or Canada. Information processed elsewhere may be subject to the laws and lawful access powers of that jurisdiction.
We remain responsible for the protection obligations that apply to information transferred for processing. Required safeguards, assessments, and contractual arrangements must be addressed before a transfer occurs.
You may contact the Privacy Officer for information about cross-border processing relevant to your purchase.
If we send promotional emails or other commercial electronic messages, we will do so on an appropriate consent basis or another basis permitted by applicable law.
You can unsubscribe using the mechanism in a promotional message or by contacting info@spraygroundh.shop. Requests will be implemented without delay and no later than 10 business days, as required by Canada’s anti-spam rules. CRTC guidance.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary service communications about an existing order, refund, or security matter.
We retain information according to its purpose and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Order records may need to be kept for accounting or legal reasons after fulfilment, while support records are kept according to the matter involved.
When information is no longer needed, it is deleted, anonymised where legally permitted, or otherwise securely disposed of.
We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity and circumstances of the information. No system can guarantee absolute security. If a privacy incident occurs, we will assess it and take the response, recordkeeping, reporting, and notification steps required by applicable law.
You may contact us to request access to personal information we hold about you, ask for correction, or raise a concern about its handling.
Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may also have rights relating to deletion, consent withdrawal, portability, or certain uses of your information. These rights may be subject to lawful exceptions.
We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity. Where PIPEDA applies, access requests are generally subject to a 30-day response period, with extensions only as legally permitted. We will explain a refusal or extension where required. Canadian privacy access guidance.
Transaction systems may use automated tools to identify possible payment or security issues.
If an automated assessment affects your order, you may contact us to ask for assistance and a review. Where a decision is based exclusively on automated processing and applicable law provides additional notice, explanation, correction, or review rights, we will honour those rights.
Our store is intended for purchases by adults or by individuals acting with appropriate adult involvement.
We do not seek personal information from children for independent marketing purposes. If you believe a child has provided information without the required authorisation, contact us so we can assess and address the situation.
Privacy concerns may be sent to the Privacy Officer at info@spraygroundh.shop. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the relevant provincial privacy authority, as applicable.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the store or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated as required, and new consent will be sought where necessary. Updating this page alone does not authorise an incompatible new use of previously collected information.
